I am currently working on the RESHAPE project ChARM team as a Research Assistant. The project aims to understand the impact of school closures on children, young people, and their families throughout the pandemic and the experiences of children, young people, and their parents during the lockdown.
The British Council recently awarded me a GREAT scholar due to my academic achievements in the UK and completing my master’s degree research on the autism spectrum; that paper is aimed to be published. I have previously worked on the project to improve understanding of the romantic relationship experiences of autistic women through employing qualitative analysis. I am experienced in mixed methods research with expertise in qualitative methods.
My research interests focus on common mental health difficulties young people experience and improving access to and effectiveness of psychological treatments. I have a specific interest in evaluating health services and analysing and developing community interventions for the mental health of children and young people.
Prior to this role, I assisted with the project explored how young people initially react to emotional situations, how they deal with the
the emotional state caused by these events, and the time-related characteristics of these continuously changing emotional responses, in which I used some of the neuroimaging techniques eye-tracking and EEG.
